Review of Library Services

by Caroline Cooke on 2020-10-13T16:41:00+01:00 | 0 Comments

The Library Team have been gathering student feedback and monitoring service use since the start of semester.

We promised that we would review the new services and processes in place as a result of the pandemic after three weeks of semester.

We have done that now and there are a few changes to let you know about:

  • Seat booking
Seats can now be booked for a minimum of one hour to a maximum of three hours - this should make it easier to use computers for printing
  • Renewals
We have increased the number of book renewals for students to 5
  • Speeder boards, chargers, DVDs
Due to releasing services on a phased basis and as a result of a risk assessment, these items can now be loaned but should be returned to the returns box. They will then go into 'quarantine' for 72 hours before they can be loaned again.

We would like to thank all of our students and staff for working with us. If there's anything else we can do to improve the service throughout this time please let us know.
