Online Inter-Library Loan request form

by Jess Tovey on 2023-03-09T14:27:34+00:00 in Literature Searching | 0 Comments

With assignment submissions coming up over the next few months, we just wanted to remind you that the Library team have created an online Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request form which is available to use via the following link (link also available on LibGuides):

Please use this form to request a journal article or book chapter as an Inter-Library Loan if the Library does not already have access to it. You can find more information on searching for articles here and searching for books here.

Some things to note about the online form and the Inter-Library Loan process:

  • There is now a digital checkbox to agree to the copyright declaration which replaces the need for the requester to come to the Library to sign a physical copy of the form.
  • There can only be one request made per form submission as the copyright declaration must be signed for each request.
  • You are welcome to submit multiple forms if you have more than one request.
  • If the article or chapter you have requested is available, we will supply this to you via email.
  • Requests can take between 2 days and 2 weeks to arrive if they are available.

As a reminder, the following students can have up to 5 free requests per academic year:

  • Project year students
  • Clinic year students
  • Final year Undergraduate students
  • Taught Postgraduate students

For all other students, requests are charged at a subsidised £5.00 per request.

We hope this form will make it easier for you to request the articles and chapters you require access to.

Please do let us know if you have any questions and we will be more than happy to help.

A huge good luck with your studies, everyone!
