We hope you are keeping safe and well.

We thought a quick update would be helpful on using the library services, as a result of the January national lockdown in England:

  • Click and Collect Service
The Click and Collect service for library books is still being run by the library team:
    - This will be run once a day in the morning.
    - If you would like to reserve items for collection please do so by 8.30am weekdays and 10am Saturday.
    - Books reserved after the times mentioned above will be picked from the shelves the following working day.
    - Library staff will email you to let you know when your books are ready for collection.
Please wait for this email before attending the library so the team can ensure the items are available for you to collect.
    - To reserve your book, use Heritage Online (log in using your student ID - this is your reader code - for staff this is the code on your ID card)

  • Returning books
Books can be returned via the returns box which is outside the main doors near the library. Books will be quarantined for 3 days before bring returned to circulation.

  • Booking your seat
Study seats must be booked before attending the library, even for printing. Seats can be booked via the seat booking system.

  • Opening times can be found on the homepage of the LibGuide

    Online resources
  • The vast majority of library resources are available online 24/7, these include e-books, journals and articles, anatomy software, study skills modules and so on, there are a huge number of resources available to you. All of these can be accessed via the LibGuides - find your subject guide and start from there.

  • Further support
The Library Team are still available to answer questions and provide specialist support - using databases, finding and accessing resources, referencing etc. Please email the team at: learningservices@aecc.ac.uk Wishing you all a good start to the year, do get in touch should you need anything.
